The Opportunity
Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Senior Business Analyst in London or any existing Save the Children International office location.
ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children is evolving its organisational structure in order to stay true to its mission, vision and values, whilst being able to withstand external pressures. Shared Operations is a trend in the world to provide centralised services to different entities of an organisation. We need to define what this means for our movement, the options we have to explore and the functional and ultimately transformation activities that would need to be undertaken to achieve the required outcomes.
Shared Operations feasibility started in 2021; initial feasibility and a pilot project have started. Our intention is to deliver the initial pilot and transition it to business as usual in 2022; following this transition, we will complete a feasibility assessment to understand the broader required end state (other areas where Shared Operations would add value), impact and options to move forwards.
The Business Analyst will work in partnership with the Project and Change Manager to deliver the feasibility study with the objective to further explore Shared Operations within the movement, to define the options available to operationalise it and ultimately to enable decision making on whether and how this will move forwards. The Business Analyst will be accountable for delivering the business analysis work in support of the feasibility study, including process mapping and requirements gathering and will work on the entire project life cycle for the areas move into execution. It will be essential that this aligns with the standard Business Analysis and Architecture methodology and is based on relevant materials already created through other projects / initiatives.
The Business Analyst will also play a key role in supporting the Project and Change Manager to manage the governance process to enable sign off the feasibility study providing additional analysis and outcomes as required.
