Global Innovation Advisor

The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Global Innovation Advisor at any existing Save the Children International office location within the Europe, MEEE, ESA or WCA time zones.

Role Purpose:

This position manages the operational, communications, and administrative needs of Save the Children’s Global Centre of Excellence for Innovation (CoE). The Innovation Advisor will work in partnership with the Director of the COE and team to support the execution of our global innovation program. They will lead the operational management of our innovation accelerator and the design and facilitation of multiple innovation incubators (i.e. sprint workshops). 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite required 
  • Ability to quickly ‘get up the curve’ on various business models and thematic areas and provide value-add advice to the full range of CoE intrapreneurs/social entrepreneurs. 

Self-starter with passion and experience in social innovation and entrepreneurship

  • Excellent writing, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience preparing reports and interacting with senior management staff. 
  • Experienced facilitator and workshop lead. 
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build, and maintain strong working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives including programmatic, policy and advocacy technical experts that may have low capacity in business and finance acumen. Experience working with multiple partners (external and internal)
  • Proven experience and understanding of policy, advocacy, evaluation, business, and finance  
  • Strong leadership and project management skills (goal-setting, organization, and implementation)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Fluent oral and written English skills required. 

Preferred

  • B.A. or other advanced degree

We can offer circa £48,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role can be based in any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location within the Europe, MEEE, ESA or WCA time zones, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
